The Effects of Obesity

Obesity is responsible for more deaths worldwide each year, and unfortunately, that in most cases can be prevented. More obese you are more likely to cut your life. If your BMI is between 30-35 you can expect your life to be reduced by two to four years, and if you are obese with a BMI over 40, you will probably reduce life expectancy by ten years.

People who are obese are much more likely to suffer from heart disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes and respiratory problems. It has also been associated with certain cancers and other diseases such as osteoarthritis. The main cause of obesity is a combination of high calorie intake and insufficient physical activity. There are other factors that obesity, such as drugs, mental disorders and inherited the gene can cause, but they are a very small percentage of the total cases.
